Today we woke up early and took a five hour bus ride to the Republic of San Marino. It was a beautiful area high in the Apennine Mountains. We discovered our first castle, which was quite a site. We spent the day touring the small republic- which was filled with shopping and gelato (our favorite part of Italy!) Everybody seemed to find something to take home. After another hour bus ride to Falconara we had dinner in our hotel, where we met the Serbian volleyball team. The majority of the girls were taller then Jessie and I, which scared us to say the least. The tournament starts tomorrow and we are excited to finally start competing.
